Skipper Harbhajan Singh led from the front as Mumbai Indians came up trumps by comprehensively defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 31 runs to win a low-scoringChampions League Twenty20 finalhere today.
It was great achievement for the Mumbai based IPL franchise who missed the services of regular skipper Sachin Tendulkar.
Batting first on a track that got lower and slower with passage of time, Mumbai Indians managed 139 but that was challenging enough for the Men in 'Red and Gold' who were shot out for 108 in 19.2 overs.

Mumbai Indians skipper Harbhajan Singh praised Lasith Malinga and James Franklin for their "fantastic" performance with the ball and said he was happy that he made the right choices in the Champions League Twenty20 semifinal on Saturday.
With Somerset needing 22 off last 12 balls, Harbhajan asked Franklin to ball the second last over and the New Zealander picked up the wickets of Jos Butler (19) and Craig Kieswetter (62) -- to turn the game in Mumbai's favour.
Malinga, who had given Mumbai a brilliant start picking up two quick wickets initially, then completed the proceeding by taking two more wickets in the last over.

Of the teams a depleted Mumbai Indians has managed to upstage in the ongoing Champions League Twenty20, captain Harbhajan Singh said beating ousted title holders Chennai Super Kings was the biggest morale-booster for his injury-ravaged side.
"Among all the opposition in the tournament, I think Chennai Super Kings is the best side. It was the toughest side to beat and we take lot of confidence in playing them at home and winning from them,"Harbhajan said after the 10-run semifinal win over Somerset to set up a summit clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore here.
"It (beating Chennai) boosted our confidence,"he added.
Despite missing key players such as regular captain Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma, Mumbai have managed to impress in the tournament and Harbhajan said it not just good luck.

Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shaun Pollock on Thursday said his team has the experience of playing at the slow track at M A Chidambaram Stadium and will look to adjust to the conditions quickly when they take on Somerset in their Champions League twenty20 semifinal clash on Saturday.
Mumbai have played two matches in Chennai, while Somerset have not played any game on this track and Pollock feels his team would have the advantage of knowing what to expect on this pitch.
"It's interesting to say the least. Our game against New South Wales was very difficult. We've played two games and managed to experience what the conditions are all about. We know what to expect,"he said at a press conference.
"I think we've to just adjust on the day. I mean we don't quite know how the pitch is going to play until we arrive and see how the first five or six deliveries behave. It's going to be strange, because we've played two games and we'll adapt pretty well, I think,"he added.
